A life for basketball
Immersed into the world of professional basketball inside his own home, his father played for Red Star and the Yugoslavian National Team from 1967 to 1976- it was not difficult for him to choose this sport still being very young
The inexhaustible Balkan pool of players
I will include here information about my first teams, contracts and my early triumphs. Soon the NBA offered me to become a bold "timberwolf", so I left, as they say in Spain, "to make my fortune in America."
A rookie in Minnesota
A daring decision to play the NBA. Basketball at the highest level, but after all it is every player's goal.
Dreaming about the NBA
The dream of any Serbian kid. A youthful illusion. The NBA. A daredevil's jump to play the NBA and accept the challange og playing at the highest level. It is just any player's dream.
Another step forward: my national team.
It's been a privilege to have played with my national team. Getting to wear the 'Plavi' shirt is a great honour for any Serbian player. In my case, I accepted it with great responsibility since I was joining a team full of great names. In 1996 we won the Bronze Medal at the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in France. In 1997 again the Bronze Medal at the FIBA Under-21 World Championship, in Melbourne. In 1998 the Gold Medal at the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship in Trapani. In 1999 we got the Bronze Medal at theWorld Championship sub-22. In 2001 we won the Gold Medal at the FIBA European Championship in Turkey and also we got the Gold Medal at the FIBA World Championship in 2002.
It is very hard to make a gap among the starting roster in any team. Sometimes the challenge is not the others, but you yourself.
